She's Back. Jonathan Whitton brings Hedwig and the Angry Inch back to New Jersey with a vengeance, headlining at the historic Barrow Mansion in Jersey City following her acclaimed run in June. All the songs you love, all the shiny red lipstick you wish you wore, none of the blonde hair! Experience the thrills, the chills and the craziness.
Hedwig, born a boy named Hansel in East Berlin, falls in love with an American G.I. and subsequently undergoes a sex-change operation in order to marry him and flee Communist Berlin. When the operation fails leaving Hedwig with an angry inch, his GI husband abandons him in Kansas and Hedwig is left to fend for himself by doing a series of side gigs. When she meets young Tommy Gnosis the two bond, until Tommy steals Hedwig's songs and become a huge rock star leaving Hedwig behind. As Hedwig performs we learn how his ultimate desire is to become a whole person by meeting his other half.
